Client Stories

At Number$ Count we are proud to have worked with a number of clients from sole traders and family businesses to companies and trusts. We enjoy the process of working alongside our clients at every stage of their business journey.

A new brew in town

We’ve been excited to follow the launch and early success of the team at Stoic Brewing in Gerringong. Behind Stoic is the ‘son and father’ team of Andrew and Steve Prosser, who have turned a long held passion for beer and brews into a new business venture. Planned meticulously for about 18 months prior to opening in mid-2018, Andrew and Steve have worked hard to ensure that Stoic hit the spot as soon as they were ready, and authorised to go.

As long-term members of a local craft beer club they’ve had available taste testers and critics in one, and Andrew himself admits to being his own harshest examiner and a perfectionist. They’ve already created a buzz, not only in town with food trucks and tunes on a regular Sunday basis, but they’ve made the craft beer world take notice too.

If you’re a local or visiting in Gerringong be sure to drop in to taste test their beers and ciders, or sample some of the local wines available onsite. Open Wednesday to Sunday – check out their Facebook page for their opening hours and latest happenings.

A succesful sale

In 2016, Leanne and the team at Number$ Count successfully helped in the sale of a small food and wine tourism business. A part-time venture for the then operator, the business was ready to go to the next level of its growth, however in order for that to happen the owner decided that they needed to sell the business and allow new owners to help it reach its potential.

The vendor engaged Number$ Count to assist with the financial reports and documentation for sale given the team was already familiar with the business and its operations. And being a relatively unique business in a niche industry, the vendor was unsure how to put a price and valuation on the asset they’d built from scratch. Working through the numbers, the year on year profit growth and considering future expansion opportunities, Leanne and the team worked with the vendor to create a business valuation and a compelling financial story.

Once on the market, an offer for the business was made and accepted within five weeks; the vendor was thrilled with the outcome and the new owners excited about their new venture. A few years on the business is continuing to grow and the new owners are indeed building business momentum and driving it toward it’s potential in showcasing the south coast as a food and wine destination.
